Rifle & Pistol Range Rules
1. Safety is always first. Anyone observing an unsafe act or practice is authorized
to order a “Cease Fire”. A range under cease-fire will immediately stop
operation until the unsafe act or practice has been resolved.
2. No Alcoholic beverages will be allowed on or within 25ft of any outdoor range
while in operation.
3. Shooting hours will be from sunrise to sunset on all outdoor ranges except for
paid events.
4. Children under the age of 16 will not be allowed on ranges unless they are
closely supervised by an adult.
5. No parking along roads. Park at designated areas only.
6. No littering. Please clean up range after you use it. Put all trash in the
containers.
7. Only members can shoot on the ranges, except at paid events.
8. No smoking or drinking on or in front of the shooting line.
9. Firearms must have the actions open in the clubhouse, except when on the firing
line.
10. Outdoor ranges will remain open during the hunting seasons. Hunting is not
permitted on the rifle, pistol or trap ranges. Members hunting on the archery
range or near the other ranges must be extra careful of those members using
these ranges.
Archery Range Rules
1. Archery equipment should not be left unattended on the tables in the clubhouse.
2. Rules governing archery shoots will be posted in a prominent place during a
shoot.
3. All shooters must shoot from the designated positions.
4. For personal safety, shooters must stay on pathways. No shortcuts.
5. No broadheads of any kind (hunting or practice) are allowed to be used on club
targets.
6. Practice only on designated ranges during shoots.
Trap Range Rules
1. Shotguns will be unloaded and actions open when going to and from the firing
line.
2. Guns must be unloaded when changing positions.
3. The number one starter position is the squad leader and is in-charge of the
squad at the firing line.
4. A flag will be placed on top of the trap house when the range is not in use.
5. When shooting singles a one-shell limit will apply
Fish Pond Rules
The club pond located on our property is open for fishing for Keystone club members 15 years of age and under only. They must be accompanied by an adult member at all times. The adult member can assist but is not permitted to fish. Swimming or wading in the pond is not permitted. Bait fish, including minnows, suckers, chubs, stone catfish, carp and goldfish are not permitted. Frogs may be used as bait except those on listed as endangered or threatened. Corn is not permitted. The use of landing nets is not permitted. Fish bait including worms, crayfish, clams and nymphs, larvae and pupae of insects are permitted. For safety purposes, ice fishing is not permitted. Fishing hours are one half hour before sunrise and one half hour after sunset. Children must not be left unattended near the pond. No parking on the road at any time. Park only at designated areas. Littering will not be tolerated. Put trash in containers or take it home with you. This includes fishing lines. Cleaning fish at the pond is not allowed. Dogs are not allowed in or around the pond. Persons who violate the pond rules are subject to disciplinary action by the Association.
